Another sunny day in California and our bees are busy collecting pollen. This time of year our Fresh Bee Pollen tends to be bright yellow in color as most of the very first flowers that bloom in February produce a bright yellow pollen. They are busy finding the most nutritious fresh bee pollen to bring back to the hive. The fresh bee pollen is essential for their nutrition and rearing of their baby bees. We don't harvest the pollen in February as we want the bees to keep all the pollen to strengthen the hive as Spring begins.
